Matt Ritter

Matt Ritter currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent at Uniondale UFSD since September 2022. Prior to this role, Matt held various positions at the NYC Department of Education from July 2015 to December 2022, including Deputy Superintendent for New Visions Affinity High Schools and Borough Leadership Director. Matt also served as the School Principal of Hillside Arts and Letters Academy, where Matt was the founding principal from July 2010 to July 2015, and previously co-founded the Bushwick School for Social Justice, working as Assistant Principal from January 2007 to July 2010. Matt holds a Master’s Degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, obtained between 2002 and 2004.
