Drew Sommer

Drew Sommer has a diverse work experience in the sports and education sectors. Drew is currently working as a Staff Coach at Sporting Delaware since August 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Staff Coach at Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer from September 2017 onwards. Additionally, they worked as a PE and Health Teacher at Unionville Chadds Ford School District starting from October 2017.

Drew also gained valuable experience as part of the Pre-Academy Coaching Staff at Philadelphia Union from December 2018 to July 2020. Drew served as a Staff Coach at Southern Chester County Soccer Association from September 2017 to June 2019. Drew's coaching experience also includes a role as a Staff Coach at FC Stars from November 2014 to June 2015.

In terms of their education background, Drew was involved with Springfield College from August 2012 to June 2015. Drew held the position of Two Stripers during this time and was also a member of the Pride Athletic Advisory Committee starting from January 2012.

Drew Sommer has an extensive education history in the field of physical education teaching and coaching. Drew obtained their Bachelor's degree in Physical Education Teaching and Coaching from Springfield College in 2011-2015. Drew then pursued further education and received a Master's degree in the same field from Ohio University in 2018-2020. Prior to that, Drew earned another Master's degree in Sports Business/Management from Leeds Beckett University in 2016-2017. In 2015-2016, they also earned a Master's degree in Health and Physical Education/Fitness with a concentration in Adapted PE from Springfield College. In addition to their degrees, Drew has acquired various certifications including a USSF National B License from the U.S. Soccer Federation in July 2019, a Teacher Of Physical Education And Health 1-12 certification from the Pennsylvania State Education Association in September 2017, and certifications in Physical Education 5-12 and Physical Education, PreK-8 from the Massachusetts Department of Education in May 2015.
