Nilesh Patankar

Nilesh Patankar has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology and finance industries. Beginning in 2006, Patankar worked as a Sr. Development Manager at SSP, where they played a pivotal role in growing and stabilizing the company's development center. Nilesh then joined Comviva Technologies Limited in 2011 as AVP, responsible for roadmap development and architecture of mobile finance products.

In 2013, Patankar became the CTO at PAYBACK, leading the technology team and successfully executing multiple transformations, including the redesign and deployment of the PAYBACK digital marketing platform. Nilesh then moved on to MasterCard in 2015 as VP of Product Development and Innovation, overseeing software development and support teams.

In 2018, Patankar joined Barclays as Director of Payments Technology, where they spearheaded the building of a payment hub and led the engineering transformation for an agile work culture. Nilesh also served as COO and Co-Founder at Uniris, a blockchain company that focuses on secure and frictionless transactions with biometric keys.

Currently, Patankar is the COO at Archethic Technologies, a position they have held since 2023. Additionally, they are a co-founder of unblox, a blockchain startup, and a podcast host for the 3 Techies Banter #3TB show.

Throughout their career, Patankar has demonstrated expertise in product development, innovation, technology leadership, and driving strategic transformations.

Nilesh Patankar's education history includes a B.Tech (Hons) degree in Electronics and Communication from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, which they obtained from 1991 to 1995. In 1996, they completed a Korean Language Course at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. Additionally, they attended the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta from 2010 to 2011, where they earned an SMP degree specializing in Strategy and Finance.

In terms of certifications, Nilesh Patankar obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from The Project Management Institute (PMI) in September 2005. Nilesh also became a SAFe® 4 Certified Agilist in July 2017, certified by Scaled Agile, Inc.
