Joni Forsdike-King

Joni Forsdike-King has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles.

From 1994 to 2011, Joni worked at Wickes in various store management roles, overseeing teams, managing HR processes and policy, and handling sales and administrative responsibilities.

Starting in 2012, Joni joined IKEA Group as an HR Generalist, where they were responsible for learning and development, HR management, and duty management. They also contributed to UK and European initiatives and built a global business network.

In 2015, Joni moved to TES 2000 Ltd as a Senior HR Advisor, working on a full generalist remit. They supported and advised the board of directors and business managers across multiple sites and were involved in various projects such as absence management, restructuring, and the development of an apprentice program for rail.

From 2016 onwards, Joni joined Wincanton, initially as an HR Manager for Wincanton Container Logistics. In this role, they were the head of the HR function for 10 sites across the UK and acted as a business partner to the Business Director.

Later, Joni became a Human Resources Business Partner for Wincanton's Group Transport and Group Operations, overseeing a team of six People Managers and supporting business directors and heads strategically, transformationally, and legally in all HR matters. They played a key role in shaping group people policy change projects and supporting large-scale growth initiatives.

Most recently, in 2022, Joni joined Uniserve Group as the Head of HR Operations & Services, taking on a leadership position in the HR department.

Joni Forsdike-King has a strong educational background in history. They obtained a BA (Hons) in Modern History from the University of Essex, completing their degree between 2006 and 2009. Following this, Joni pursued a Master's degree in History from the same university, which they completed in 2010.

In addition to their academic achievements, Joni has also obtained several certifications in various fields. In 1999, they achieved the ILM 5 certification from the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM). Furthermore, they obtained the PI (Accreditation) from PI Personal Index in January 2014, followed by the Belbin (Accreditation) from Belbin Team Roles (UK - Head Office) in April 2014.

Joni's certifications also include the PTS (Rail Qualified) and ICI (Rail Industry), both of which they obtained in July 2016. Recently, in November 2021, they achieved the Chartered MCIPD certification from CIPD.
