Josie Irwin is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in equality and employment relations. Currently serving as the Head of the Equality Unit and previously as the National Women's Officer at Unison since December 2018, Josie has made significant contributions in these roles. From January 2020 to July 2021, Josie held a voluntary position as the Chair of the Board of Trustees at Oasis Project. Prior experience includes serving as the Associate Director of Employment Relations at the Royal College of Nursing from 1992 to November 2018. Josie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics, Philosophy & Economics from the University of Oxford's St Hilda's College and a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Warwick's Warwick Business School.
