Max Finkel has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2013, they worked as a Service Coordinator at Thomas Airconditioning, where they managed customer relations, sales, marketing, and compliance. Max successfully contributed to the company's growth, doubling its turnover.
In 2018, Max joined the Bio Capital Impact Fund as an Investment Analyst, focusing on global health, agri-tech, and industrial biotech companies. Max'sresponsibilities included shortlisting opportunities, conducting due diligence, negotiating deals, and managing ad-hoc projects. Max closely collaborated with founders, investors, and strategic partners. Max worked with the fund until November 2020.
From November 2020 to June 2021, Max served as an Investment Analyst at Churchill Asset Management Pty Ltd, a local fund manager specializing in international listed growth companies. Max'srole involved sourcing, analyzing, and presenting new investment opportunities, as well as monitoring existing investments and market conditions.
In August 2021, Max joined Mercer as an Investment Management Specialist on a short-term contract. Max'smain project was overseeing the overhaul of all Investment Management Agreements. The contract concluded in December 2021.
Currently, Max is employed by UniSuper as an Investment Analyst. UniSuper is one of Australia's largest superannuation funds, previously targeting the higher education sector but now open to the public. In this role, Max is part of the Portfolio Analysis & Implementation team, focused on internally-managed portfolios.
Max Finkel completed their education at various institutions. Max attended The College of Law Australia from 2018 to 2020 and obtained a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice. Prior to that, they studied at Monash University from 2011 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) with a focus on Finance/Management. Max Finkel's secondary education took place at Melbourne High School from 2007 to 2010. Before that, they attended The King David School from 2005 to 2006.
