Derek Walkush

Derek Walkush is an accomplished professional in the fields of finance and economics, currently serving as the Unichain Growth Lead & Ventures at Uniswap Labs since September 2025. Previously, Walkush was an Investment Partner at Variant, an early-stage token fund, from April 2022 to August 2025. Prior experience includes an Investment Intern position at Accolade Partners, a nationally ranked fund of funds, where Walkush worked with hard-to-access funds with exposure to healthcare and technology in 2021. Additionally, Walkush served as a Mortara Undergraduate Research Fellow at Georgetown University Walsh School of Foreign Service, conducting quantitative and qualitative research in International Political Economy from February 2020 to September 2021. Walkush holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service with a focus on International Economics from Georgetown University, earned in 2023, and a high school diploma from Germantown Academy in 2019.
