George Kafantaris has a diverse work experience in the field of network engineering. George started their career at Intracom Telecom in 1999, working on Network Management Systems. George then joined Vodafone Greece in 2003 as a Data Networks Engineer, where they worked until 2015. At Neurosoft, George held the position of Senior IP Networks Engineer from 2015 to 2020. Currently, they are working at UniSystems as a Senior Professional Services Engineer, starting in July 2020.
George Kafantaris has an education history that includes two main institutions. From 1996 to 2000, they attended Piraeus University of Applied Sciences, where they studied Computer Engineering. Then, in 2000 to 2001, they enrolled at the University of the West of Scotland, pursuing an MSc in Information Technology with Web Technology.
In addition to their formal education, George has obtained several certifications. These include the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) from Cisco, obtained in December 2014, and the Wireless LAN, Specialist (JNCIS-WLAN) certification from Juniper Networks, acquired in August 2015. George also holds the Juniper Networks Certified Professional, Service Provider Routing & Switching (JNCIP-SP) certification, earned in June 2017. Other certifications they have achieved include the Design, Associate (JNCDA) certification from Juniper Networks in April 2020, the Juniper Networks Certified Professional, Data Center (JNCIP-DC) certification in March 2019, and the Juniper Networks Certified Professional Enterprise Routing and Switching (JNCIP-ENT) certification in November 2018.
