Emma McFerran has a varied work experience. Emma began their career in 2008 as a Barista at McDonald's. In 2010, they became a Female FMX Athlete for Crusty Demons and a Waitress / Barista / Bartender for the Australian Open Tennis Tournament. In 2011, they worked as a Cook / Waitress for Wahoo's Fish Taco. In 2013, they became a Model for JetPilot Clothing. In 2014, they were an FMX Judge for Night of the Jumps. From 2015 to 2019, they worked as a Model for Alpina Sports, a Professional Athlete for Nitro Circus, and a Professional Freestyle Motocross Athlete for Self-Employed. Finally, in 2019, they began their current role as Marketing & Media for UNIT Clothing.

Emma McFerran completed their Advanced Diploma of Applied Photography from RMIT University in 2009. Prior to that, they attended Catholic Ladies College from 2001 to 2006, completing their High School education.
