Sissy Themeli

Sissy Themeli has a strong background in software engineering, with experience in various roles and companies.

Sissy'smost recent position was as a Senior Software Engineer at Unitary, where they worked on developing video understanding AI for content moderation and other real-world applications. Sissy joined the company in June 2022 and is currently still in that role.

Prior to that, Sissy worked at Linked Business from April 2021 to May 2022 as a Senior Software Engineer and Tech Lead. In this role, they redesigned the software architecture, implemented microservices, and introduced Docker and Kubernetes technologies. Sissy also automated CI/CD processes and worked closely with the DevOps Engineer to enhance infrastructure and automate deployment.

Before Linked Business, Sissy worked at NCSR "DEMOKRITOS" as a Software Engineer from September 2019 to September 2021. During their time there, they also pursued a PhD in Argument Mining in collaboration with the University of Athens. Sissy worked on EU and national research projects, including the DARE project, where they built an intermediary platform using Kubernetes and MPI parallel processing frameworks.

Sissy's experience also includes working at Voiceweb from August 2018 to August 2019 as a Software Engineer. Sissy contributed to voice applications for clients and played a key role in redesigning and implementing the company's core products.

Additionally, they worked at G.N.T. Information Systems S.A. as a Software Engineer from May 2016 to August 2018. Sissy'sresponsibilities included backend software development, implementation of web applications, and utilization of various technologies such as EJB3, Spring Framework, and Hibernate.

Sissy began their career at Deloitte as a Business Analyst from February 2014 to May 2016.

Sissy began their education at Lycée Franco-Hellénique Eugène Delacroix, where they completed their secondary education in General Studies from 2002 to 2008.
