UNITE-LA
Geraldine Contreras-Jaimerena serves as the Associate Director of Career Pathways and Talent Development at UNITE-LA since February 2020, having previously held the role of Senior Manager for Youth Engagement and Workforce Development. Prior experience includes a tenure at the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce from August 2011 to February 2020, where Geraldine contributed as Senior Manager for Business Education Partnerships focusing on STEM initiatives and the Los Angeles Regional STEM Hub. Earlier roles also include Director of Student Affairs at ALPFA National, Field Representative for Assemblymember Mike Eng at the California State Assembly, and Field Representative for the Board of Education District 5 at the Los Angeles Unified School District. Geraldine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations and a Master of Public Administration, both from the University of Southern California.

Established in 1998, UNITE-LA is a nonprofit organization that leads collaborative education reform efforts, promotes business-education partnerships, expands college access and provides workforce development opportunities for youth in the Los Angeles area to ensure underserved youth have the opportunity to participate in Los Angeles' 21st century economy.
