Rama Rachappa

Rama Rachappa is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in digital transformation and application development. As Director of Digital Technology at United Airlines since November 2023, Rama oversees technology initiatives that enhance operational efficiency. Previously, as Principal Cloud Advisory at Amazon Web Services from March 2022 to July 2023, Rama developed customer-centric technology strategies for cloud migrations and digital solutions. A long tenure at World Kinect Energy Services from March 2007 to March 2022 included roles as Senior Director and Director of Application Development, where Rama directed IT strategy and modernized enterprise applications across various business units. Rama began a career in technology management at FDN Communications/Supra Telecom, focusing on cross-departmental initiatives. Educational credentials include dual Master of Science degrees in Computer Science and Finance from Florida International University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from University Visveswaraya College of Engineering.
