Rohini Sengupta

Rohini Sengupta is a seasoned professional in environmental sustainability and decarbonization, currently serving as Director of Decarbonization at United Airlines since December 2015. In this role, Rohini leads the team responsible for the long-term climate strategy toward achieving net-zero emissions and spearheads environmental technology initiatives for decarbonization. Previous positions at United include Senior Manager and Manager roles focused on carbon strategy, air quality, and regulatory compliance, with notable accomplishments such as securing significant sustainable aviation fuel investments and receiving a 'A List' distinction from CDP in 2020. Prior to United Airlines, Rohini held various roles at BP, contributing to environmental compliance and innovation in alternative energies, including the startup of multimillion-dollar projects. Rohini holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth and Environmental Engineering from Columbia University.
