William Bafia

William Bafia is a seasoned technical leader and software engineer with extensive experience in both corporate and collegiate environments. Currently serving as Senior Technical Lead at United Airlines since May 2022, William focuses on guiding DevOps transformations and modernizing legacy applications. William has a strong background in swimming and diving coaching, having held multiple positions, including Interim Head Coach and Assistant Coach, at the Illinois Institute of Technology from 2021 to 2024. Previously, William spent over six years at Relativity, where significant contributions included leading engineering teams, enhancing software architecture, and improving cloud infrastructure. William holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
