Peter Gaughan

Peter Gaughan is an experienced labor organizer and legal professional currently serving as the West Coast Regional Organizer for the International Union, UAW, where responsibilities include recruiting bargaining units, conducting negotiations, and overseeing collective bargaining agreements. Previously, Peter worked as a paralegal at the Eviction Defense Collaborative, Inc., providing legal support and conducting interviews for clients in eviction crises, and held the position of Tenant Right to Counsel Coordinator. Earlier experiences include various internships focused on community engagement, research, and education, as well as leadership roles at Utica College. Peter holds dual degrees in Political Science and Government, and Geological and Earth Sciences from Utica University.
