David Edwards

EVP - Director of Strategic Projects at United Bank Corporation

David Edwards has extensive work experience in the banking industry. David began their career at Citizens & Southern National Bank, where they held various roles from 1986 to 1992. David then joined Bank of America, where they also held various positions from 1993 to 2002.

Afterwards, Edwards worked at Citizens Bank & Trust of West Georgia as they held various roles from 2002 to 2007. David then briefly served as an executive at Integrity Bank in 2008 before transitioning to New Millennium Banking Solutions, where they worked as a Senior Consultant providing services to banks in the southeast.

In the same year, Edwards also worked for Mir Mitchell & Company as a Project Manager for the FDIC, assisting in the liquidation of assets of a failed bank. From 2010 to 2016, they were the Chief Credit Officer at Community & Southern Bank, responsible for various credit administration tasks and formation of the lending and credit process.

From 2016 to 2020, Edwards worked at Bank OZK, first as the Georgia State President and later as the Regional Director for Community Banking in AL/GA/NC/SC. Their responsibilities included overseeing branch locations, managing commercial banking officers, and handling deposits totaling billions of dollars.

Currently, Edwards serves as the EVP - Director of Strategic Projects at United Bank Corporation, a position they began in April 2021.

David Edwards attended Parker College of Business-Georgia Southern University from 1982 to 1986, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a field of study in Accounting. David also attended Georgia Southern University during the same period and earned a BBA degree with a field of study in Accounting.
