Russ has held various roles such as Branch Manager, Sales Manager, and Senior Loan Officer at companies like United Bank, U.S. Bank Home Mortgage, and Southern Trust Mortgage. Russ has successfully managed teams, exceeded sales goals, and developed market share in the Virginia region.

Russ Mask completed their high school education at Cave Spring High School from 1982 to 1985, with a focus on General Studies. Russ went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Radford University from 1987 to 1990.
