Jyri Hietala

Jyri Hietala is an experienced professional in the field of forest economics and management, currently serving as CEO of UB Nordic Forest Management Ltd and Fund Manager for multiple funds at United Bankers since May 2017. With a background that includes a role as Board Member at the Finnish Forest Economics Forum from February 2017 to May 2020 and the position of Forest Economist at Pellervo Economic Research from April 2010 to May 2017, Jyri has developed a strong expertise in forest economics. Previous experiences include research roles at Aalto University and the Finnish Forest Research Institute, as well as a marketing position at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. Jyri Hietala holds a Master's degree in Business Economics of Forestry and a Bachelor's degree in Forest Economics and Marketing from the University of Helsinki, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in the same field.
