Daniel Hinkle

Daniel Hinkle has extensive work experience in strategic sourcing and materials management. Daniel is currently serving as the Sr. Director of Sourcing and Materials Management at United Central Industrial Supply Company. Previously, they worked as a Procurement Manager at Samuel Pressure Vessel Group in 2021. From 2016 to 2019, Daniel held the role of Vice President of Strategic Sourcing and Materials Management at Contura Energy, where they achieved significant cost reductions and revenue enhancements. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Director of Strategic Sourcing at Contura Energy and Director of Strategic Sourcing at Alpha Natural Resources. In these roles, Daniel led cross-functional sourcing teams, developed sourcing strategies, and managed supplier relationships to deliver cost savings and improve procurement processes. Daniel has also gained experience in project management and civil engineering during their early career.

Daniel Hinkle completed their undergraduate education from 2002 to 2005 at West Virginia University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Daniel obtained additional certifications, including the Pennsylvania Professional Engineer certification in October 2010 from the Pennsylvania Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs, and the West Virginia Professional Engineer certification in December 2009 from the West Virginia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers.
