David Klassen, CFA, MDiv has extensive work experience in the finance and investment industry. David served as the Chief Investment Officer for the United Church of Christ and as a Board Trustee and Investment Committee Chair for Union Theological Seminary. David was also an Investment Board Member for United Church Funds. Prior to their work in the religious sector, Klassen was the Managing Director at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where they led equities for $15 billion in mutual fund and institutional assets. David also worked at Morgan Stanley as a Vice President. Additionally, Klassen has experience as a Managing Director at DAK Advisory LLC, where they provided consultancy services to individuals, boards, and organizational leaders. David was also the Managing Director at Springboard - Partners in Cross Cultural Leadership, where they worked with top leaders to build leadership capacity.
David Klassen, CFA, MDiv received a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Franklin & Marshall College. Afterward, they pursued a Masters of Divinity degree in Psychology and Religion at Union Theological Seminary. In 2006, they attended the Tavistock Institute, where they completed the Group Relations Programme with a focus on Authority, Leadership, and Organization. Additionally, David holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification, granted by the institution 162977.
