M.D. Abdullah al Mamoon

Md. Abdullah Al Mamoon, PMP has a extensive work experience spanning over several roles and industries. Md. Abdullah Al began their career in the Government of Bangladesh as a Commission Officer in the Bangladesh Army, serving from 1991 to 2004. During this time, they also worked with the United Nations Mission in Sierra Leone (UNAMSIL) from 2001 to 2002.

After leaving the army, Mamoon transitioned into the banking sector, holding various leadership positions in different banks. Md. Abdullah Al worked with BRAC Bank Limited from 2004 to 2012, where they served as the Head of General Administration & Infrastructure Services, Head of Program Management, and Head of Operational Risk Management.

Md. Abdullah Al then joined bKash Limited as a Consultant for Business Process Review in 2013, and later moved on to United Commercial Bank Limited as the Head of Business Operations Division & Project Management Office (PMO) from 2014 to 2015.

In 2015, Mamoon joined AB Bank Ltd as the Executive Vice President & Head of Core Business, and in 2017, they joined United Commercial Bank PLC as the Deputy Managing Director & Chief Operating Officer. Md. Abdullah Al held the same position at United Commercial Bank Limited from 2018 onwards.

Mamoon's extensive experience in leadership and operations make him a highly skilled professional in the banking and financial industry.

Md. Abdullah Al Mamoon, PMP holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration & Digital Technologies Management from Royal Roads University, completed in 2004. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from the University of Chittagong in 1991 and a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from Dhaka College in 1988.
