Russell Monteiro

Russell Monteiro is the current Governor of Washington State, a role held since April 2022, while also working as a Transporter for DoorDash. In addition, Russell serves as the CEO, CFO, and CDO of Nirvana Investments Corporation, focusing on the equitable advancement of science and technology. As a Credit Repair Counselor for United Credit Education Services Protection Plan, Russell aids clients in improving their credit scores and financial opportunities. Russell also founded and oversees russellmonteiro.com, an online newspaper covering a range of topics, and works as a Delivery Specialist for Instacart. Previous experience includes serving as CEO of RAMsHEAT and working as an Agricultural Worker at Monson Fruit Co. Earlier in the career, Russell worked as a Bilingual Teacher for Yakima School District #7 and acted as a Student Ambassador for the University of Washington. Russell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Washington and has pursued further education at North Seattle College.
