Babita Sharma

Babita Sharma is an accomplished Presenter and Creative Director at Corner Shop Media since January 2013, co-producing and presenting various podcasts and programs including "Mum, Will the Planet Die Before I Do?" and the BBC's "Generation Change Podcast." With extensive experience as a news anchor at BBC Global News from 2011 to 2021, Babita covered significant global events while also serving as a Project Lead at BBC Media Action. Babita is also a board member at United for Global Mental Health, reflecting a commitment to diversity and mental health advocacy. As an author, Babita has published children's books such as "Priya and the Paw Prints Puzzle" and "The Corner Shop," the latter winning the Business Book Award 2020. Babita is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Poetry at Queen's University Belfast, building on a background in Journalism, Film, and Broadcasting from Cardiff University.
