Abul Kalam Azad

Abul Kalam Azad is the current director at United Hospital. Abul has also worked as a research scientist at MD Anderson Cancer Center and Montefiore Health System. Their research has focused on developing biomarkers for early diagnosis and progression of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer, experimental therapeutics for neuroendocrine prostate cancer, and investigating prostate tumor biology. Abul has also applied new genome editing technologies CRISPR/Cas9 to related studies. In addition, they have coordinated and interpreted the analysis of high-throughput genomic assays such as copy number variation, methylation, and whole exome sequencing.
