Mark MacDonald

Mark Macdonald is an experienced communications professional with extensive expertise in leading communication strategies for humanitarian organizations and major corporations. Currently serving as the Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs at UK for UNHCR since February 2020, Mark drives efforts to mobilize partnerships that protect refugees. Previous roles include Acting COO to establish UNHCR's national charity in the UK, Senior Consultant for UNHCR, and Head of Communications & Public Affairs at Australia for UNHCR. Mark has also held significant positions in corporate communications at Sony Pictures Entertainment and BBC Studios, specializing in international publicity and media relations. Educational qualifications include a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Communication and dual Bachelor's degrees in Economics and International Relations from The University of Queensland.
