Michael DeArce has work experience in two different companies. Michael started their career at Johnson Controls in 2015 as a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, where they were responsible for creating Operation Description Sheets, Value Stream Maps, and participating in Kaizen Line Balancing Events. In 2016, they joined United Launch Alliance (ULA) as a Manufacturing Engineer, where they were responsible for reviewing and analyzing engineering changes, coordinating changes with various departments, and maintaining a database to document change incorporation. Michael then served as a Continuous Improvement Lead, where they facilitated improvement projects, led meetings to address barriers, and reviewed new projects with the CI team. In their most recent role at ULA, they served as a Centaur System Test Engineer, overseeing launch site processing and providing technical oversight for pneumatic, propulsion, and mechanical operations. Michael also developed test procedures and non-conformance documentation.
Michael DeArce earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Central Florida, where they studied from 2011 to 2016. Michael then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Engineering Management at the same university from 2016 to 2019. In addition to their formal education, Michael obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from the United Launch Alliance (ULA) in October 2019.
