Samah Abdel Rahman is currently serving as a GeoStatistics Research Assistant at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), where responsibilities include developing datasets and conducting extensive data analysis for the Geo-Stats Atlas of the Arab World. Previously, Samah worked as a Research Assistant at ESCWA, focusing on data acquisition and visualization, and as a Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant at UN-Habitat, where project information was consolidated for reporting to various stakeholders. In earlier roles, Samah contributed as a Research Analyst for Labor Market Policies at ESCWA and performed data annotation for AI applications. Samah’s experience also includes work as a Certified Nursing Assistant and a Field Investigator for the Central Administration of Statistics. Educational qualifications include a Licentiate degree in Biochemistry from Lebanese University.
