Colleen Teixeira Moffat

VP for Strategic Planning & Incubation at United Nations Foundation

Colleen Teixeira Moffat is the Vice President for Strategic Planning & Incubation. In this role, she leads the launch of new initiatives at the UN Foundation. In addition, she provides strategic advice and guidance to leadership throughout the organization on issues including governance, operational models, monitoring and evaluation, and overall strategy.

Previously, she was the Deputy Executive Director at the United Nations Association of the National Capital Area (UNA-NCA), where she oversaw day-to-day operations, communications, and membership. Prior to UNA-NCA, she was an economist in the Employment Projections program at the Bureau of Labor Statistics, where she was responsible for studying occupations in the social services and education industries. She was an instrumental part of the team to overhaul the Bureau’s largest product, the Occupational Outlook Handbook.

Colleen has a bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Relations from Simmons University and a master’s degree in Policy Management from Georgetown University. She sits on the Board of Directors of the Greater DC Diaper Bank and lives in Alexandria, VA with husband, Jonathan, and their three children, Teddy, Eleanor, and Nathan.
