Ruth Riley Hunter

Ruth Riley Hunter is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in basketball operations, analysis, and player development. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Team Development for the Miami HEAT, Riley collaborates with Basketball Operations and assists with salary cap management. Previous roles include a Basketball Analytics & Player Programs Manager and a Radio Color Commentator, providing expert analysis during games. As an NBA/WNBA Cares Ambassador, Riley engages in global initiatives addressing social issues and serves as the founding spokesperson for the United Nations Foundation’s NothingButNets campaign. With a background as a professional athlete in the WNBA and experience in management as General Manager of the Stars, Riley also held roles in sports analysis for Bally Sports Florida and FOX Sports. Educational qualifications include an Executive MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a BA in Psychology from the same institution.
