Carla Barboto is the owner of Paccari Chocolate, a company specializing in organic premium chocolate with over 40 flavors available in more than 40 destinations, a position held since March 2002. In addition, Carla serves as the President of Universidad San Francisco de Quito since 2018 and has been involved with the United Nations Global Compact as an Entrepreneurship and Innovation Alumni since January 2019. Carla also supports the Women Empowerment Principles within the United Nations framework, has been a member of the Advisory Council for WWF since September 2018, and maintains membership in The Family Business Network since January 2016. Carla holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Marketing from Universidad San Francisco de Quito, as well as a Diploma in Innovation from the same institution, and an advanced degree in Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness in Latin America from Columbia Business School, completed in 2021.
