Kathleen Budny currently serves as the Head of Strategic Events at the United Nations Global Compact, a role commenced in September 2023, focusing on responsible business practices and sustainability. Prior experience includes a decade at AIGA Design as the Sr. Director of Program and Events, where Kathleen contributed to advancing the design community. Kathleen also directed the Cultural Arts department at Asphalt Green, establishing its first curriculum, and served as the Director of Education and Community Engagement for the Brooklyn Philharmonic Orchestra. Early in the career, Kathleen taught music at Acton High School in London. Educational qualifications comprise a Bachelor's degree in Music from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a PGDip in Orchestral Studies from the Royal College of Music, and a GTP/PGCE in Education from Brunel University London.
