Aliénor Béjannin is an experienced professional in human rights and gender issues, currently serving as an Associate Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Human Rights since July 2022, focusing on women's rights, gender-based violence, and the mandates of Special Rapporteurs. Prior roles include Programme Management and UN Coordination Associate at UN Women, International Partnership Coordinator at Girls Who Code, and CSW Consultant for UN Women's Civil Society Division. Aliénor has also contributed to community development with Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East and has academic experience as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the University of Quebec in Montreal. Aliénor holds a Bachelor of Science in International Studies and a Master’s Degree in Political Science and Gender Studies, complemented by studies in Arabic literature and economics.
