Frederique Bourque is an experienced legal professional currently serving as an Associate Human Rights Officer in the Special Procedures Branch at the United Nations Human Rights since November 2016. Prior to this role, Frederique held positions at the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie as an Assistante de coopération focusing on peace, security, and democratic governance, and at Lawyers Without Borders Canada as a Legal Advisor. Frederique has also worked with various organizations in legal research and education, including serving as a Junior Lecturer at Université de Montréal and an intern at UN Women, specializing in gender equality and policy analysis. Frederique holds a Master's Degree in International Law from Université de Montréal and has law degrees from Université Laval and Université Robert Schuman.
