Janica Puisto

Janica Puisto is an experienced Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Human Rights, focusing on economic, social, and cultural rights, as well as sustainable development since October 2018. Previously, Janica served as an Associate Human Rights Officer in the same organization and at the Regional Office for Southern Africa. Janica has also held positions as a Vulnerability Expert and Team Leader at the European Asylum Support Office, a Senior Adviser at the Finnish Immigration Service, and as an Assistant at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland. Educational qualifications include a European Master's Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation from the Global Campus of Human Rights and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Turku.
