Omar Fassatoui

Omar Fassatoui, PhD, currently serves as a Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Human Rights, focusing on the Secretariat of the Committee on Enforced Disappearances and the Human Rights Council and Treaty Mechanisms Division since May 2016. Concurrently, Omar has been practicing as an avocat at Barreau de Tunis since April 2008, specializing in litigation, assistance with the establishment of foreign companies, due diligence, contract drafting, and legal consulting. Academic experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Université de Genève and a Chargé de cours at Sciences Po Aix, along with a PhD candidacy at Sciences Po Aix en Provence. Omar's educational background comprises a Doctorate and a Master's degree in law from Aix-Marseille University, and a Maîtrise en Sciences Juridiques from Université de Carthage.
