Orsolya Toth is a seasoned Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Human Rights since February 2019, supporting the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights defenders, Mary Lawlor. Toth previously served as Project Manager for a joint EU project focused on human rights mandates from January 2016 to July 2018. Prior experiences include roles as a Legal Consultant at the European Centre for Not for Profit Law, Senior Legal Adviser at the Danish Institute for Human Rights, and various positions at the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, including drafting reports and managing significant projects. Earlier work spanned diplomatic roles in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, where Toth acted as a human rights advisor and deputy permanent representative. Toth holds a Master of Studies in International Human Rights Law from the University of Oxford and a J.D. and LLM in Public International Law from Eötvös Loránd University.
