Sarra Khammassi

Sarra Khammassi is an experienced Associate Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Human Rights since July 2022, focusing on the Human Rights Council and the Universal Periodic Review, including report drafting for international meetings. Previous roles include Assistant Human Rights Officer, where responsibilities included liaising with NGOs, managing accreditation, and drafting reports, and Intern at the United Nations, engaged in various projects related to human rights documentation and analysis. Sarra also has teaching experience as a History-Geography professor and has participated in various human rights and cultural initiatives, including project management for refugees and volunteering in Tunisian civil society. Educational qualifications include a University degree in human rights and multiple master’s degrees in related fields such as political science and contemporary history.
