Daniel O'Connor

Daniel joined the UNIS Physical Education department in 2017 and served as the K-12 Physical Education Team Leader before taking on his current role as Director of Athletics and Physical Education. Prior to joining UNIS, he was the Head of Primary Physical Education and the Global Campus Leader for PE at the British International School of Chicago. Previously, Daniel served as the Head of Boys Physical Education and Sport at Manor Lodge Independent School in north London.

Daniel holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Physical Education from the University of Wolverhampton in the UK. He holds numerous coaching certificates and has coached a variety of individual and team sports. As a competitor, Daniel achieved state and national recognition in both swimming and track and field.

Daniel believes in student-centered learning and encourages students to lead an active healthy lifestyle. He believes there is a place for everyone in sports, be it competitive or recreational.
