Joan Litman

Joan Litman is a seasoned music educator and consultant with extensive experience in various educational and artistic settings. Currently, Joan serves as a consultant and workshop presenter for joanlitman.com and operates as an independent workshop presenter since June 2015. Joan has been a music educator at the United Nations International School since September 2002, implementing the Kodaly philosophy in classroom music and directing choirs. Additionally, Joan founded and served as the Artistic Director of Cantigas Women's Choir from September 2002 to May 2018. Prior experience includes directing music at Mustard Seed School from September 1979 to June 2002. Joan holds a Master of Music Education degree with a focus on Kodaly Philosophy from Capital University and has conducted folk song research, particularly in Middle Eastern and Latin American music.
