Paco Barba Moran

Director, Modern Languages at United Nations International School

Paco comes to UNIS from the Consulate of Spain in New York. As part of the Spanish Civil Service, he coordinated the programs of the Ministry of Education of Spain for the Tri-State area. Paco has worked in the education field for the past 25 years and has held a variety of leadership positions including Head of Department, Academic Director, and Principal.

In 2005 he was appointed Regional Coordinator of the Post-Secondary Education Language Acquisition Program in the Canary Islands, Spain, in which he was responsible for the coordination of curriculum development, assessment, and standardized testing.

Paco holds a Master's Degree in English Language and Literature and a Master's Degree in Secondary Education from the University of Oviedo, Spain. He is fluent in Spanish, English, and continues to develop his skills in French. In addition to his passion for languages and multilingual education, he's an avid traveler.
