Vera Tatel

Alumni Relations Associate at United Nations International School

Vera Tatel, a UNIS graduate (having attended all 13 grades), earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Studies from Tufts University with a year abroad at University College London studying art history and conservation. Vera currently is the UNIS Alumni Relations Associate, Senior Committee Advisor, and Co-Advisor to UNIS Model UN. Vera has collaborated in large-scale UNIS community events such as UN Day, annual fundraisers, and graduation at the UN General Assembly Hall. Her professional career at UNIS began in the Office of Student Activities, supporting students in club activities, community service, CAS projects, language and cultural trips abroad, outdoor educational trips and student conferences nearby. She served two years as an appointed executive member of the UNIS Staff Association.

Prior to returning to UNIS, Vera was an Assistant Vice President at a financial firm, where as a LEED AP ID+C (Leadership for Energy and Environmental Design, Accredited Professional in Interior Design and Construction), she designed and implemented sustainability programs in design/construction, dining services, facilities, and records retention, spreading awareness and best practices for becoming a responsible sustainable citizen.
