David Penklis

David Penklis PhD serves as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund since September 2020, overseeing a mature pension fund that provides various benefits to United Nations staff. Prior to this role, David was a visiting Professor at the University for Peace from November 2020 to January 2023, where instruction focused on Master's Degree programmes in peace studies. David's extensive experience within the United Nations spanned from May 1994 to September 2020, holding several high-level positions including Director of the Field Budget and Finance Division and Chief of Administrative Services in various missions and headquarters. Academically, David holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Political, Organisational and Social Science from the University of Sydney, a Master of Arts in International Relations from Deakin University, a Master of Commerce in Marketing and Organisational Behaviour from UNSW, and a Bachelor of Business in Accountancy from Charles Sturt University.
