Abu Bockarie, FCCA has a diverse work experience history. Starting in 2004, they worked as a Lecture Assistant/Tutor at FOM University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management. In 2006, they transitioned to work as an Accountant in Public Practice until 2008 when they joined K METRON LLP as an Accountant/Controller-Hedge Fund of Funds. Abu then moved on to work at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in 2010 as an Associate Finance and Budget Officer. In 2013, they joined the United Nations Office at Nairobi as a Finance and Budget Officer. In 2015, they transitioned to the United Nations headquarters as a Finance and Budget Officer and later became a Programme Budget Officer. Currently, Abu is employed at the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF) as the Chief of Budget starting in 2022.

Abu Bockarie, FCCA, holds a degree as a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), UK, specializing in Accounting and Related Services, earned from ACCA. Additionally, they have obtained a PRINCE2 certification in Project Management from Axelos. Abu furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Science degree in Finance and Investment from Brunel University London. Abu has shown dedication to their field by passing the CFA Level 2 examination from the CFA Institute, focusing on Investment and Finance. Abu also holds a Diploma in International Public Sector Accounting Standards from CIPFA, specializing in Accounting. Abu completed their undergraduate studies at the University of International Business and Economics, where they obtained a Bachelor of Management degree with a focus on International Business Management. Abu then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Leicester.
