Siyad Maalim

Siyad Maalim is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in information management, humanitarian affairs, monitoring and evaluation, and program management. As an Information Management Specialist at the United Nations OCHA since February 2024, Siyad expertly manages and analyzes complex datasets to support humanitarian needs assessments. Previous roles include conducting in-depth analyses and facilitating information sharing as a Humanitarian Affairs Analyst, and implementing effective monitoring and evaluation systems as a Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst at Rafiki wa Maendeleo Trust. With strong analytical and leadership skills demonstrated across various organizations, Siyad has successfully overseen programs focused on refugee inclusion in education, entrepreneurship, and client services, while fostering collaboration among stakeholders. Siyad holds a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from The University of British Columbia and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Data Science at the University of Nairobi.
