Tensai Asfaw

Tensai Asfaw is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in resource mobilization and donor relations within international organizations. Currently serving as Lead for Private Sector Resource Mobilization and Climate Finance at the United Nations OCHA, Tensai developed an $8 billion Resource Mobilization Strategy for 2023-2026. Previously, as Senior Advisor at the International Telecommunication Union, Tensai spearheaded initiatives that raised over $26 billion, enhancing digital access globally. Earlier roles at United Nations OCHA included Head of Desk, where Tensai managed relationships with key donor governments, and Humanitarian Affairs Officer, contributing to strategic global policies. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Government and Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Princeton University.
