Rahab Wamiti has extensive work experience in human resources, with a focus on HR practitioner roles. Rahab started their career in 2005 as a Finance Assistant at Kenya Power and Lighting Company, where they processed payments and performed analysis for the Costing Department. In 2006, they worked as an Administrative Assistant and later as an HR Consultant at the World Food Programme. Rahab then joined the United Nations Office at Nairobi in 2008 as an HR Practitioner, where they managed various HR tasks such as onboarding new staff, managing entitlements, and contract management. Rahab is currently involved in the testing of the new ERP system Umoja. From 2021 to 2023, they worked at the International Monetary Fund as a Human Resources Officer. In 2023, they joined the United Nations Office at Nairobi again, this time as an HR Practitioner.
Rahab Wamiti's education history starts in 2001 when they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Business Administration and Finance at Strathmore University. Rahab completed this program in 2004. Following this, in 2005, they attended the Institute of Human Resources Management where they obtained a Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management. This program lasted until 2006. In 2010, Rahab enrolled in the United States International University - Africa to pursue an Executive Masters in Organizational Development, which they completed in 2012. Lastly, in 2012, Rahab attended Cornell University, where they obtained a Human Resource Management Certification, specializing in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General. Rahab completed their studies there in 2013.
