Mithre Sandrasagra

Mithre Sandrasagra is an accomplished Strategic Communications Advisor at the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) since January 2012, responsible for managing a comprehensive communications strategy and serving as the primary liaison with the United Nations communications network and media in targeted countries. Mithre holds extensive experience in communications roles across various organizations, including serving as a Special Assistant within the UN and as a Communications Advisor at UNDP. Mithre has also contributed as a Regional Editor and Managing Editor at IPS Inter Press Service, among other editorial roles. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Human Rights, First Amendment Law, and Ethics from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Economics from The Johns Hopkins University.
