Sarah Craven

Director, Washington Office at United Nations Population Fund

Sarah Craven is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in public policy and advocacy, currently serving as the Director of the Washington Office for the United Nations Population Fund since March 1998. Prior to this role, Sarah worked as a Senior Advisor in the Office of Population at the U.S. Department of State and held the position of Senior Policy Advisor at CEDPA. Additional experience includes serving as Staff Counsel at the National Women's Law Center and working in legislative roles for Senators Tim Wirth and Spark Matsunaga. Sarah holds a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center, an M.Phil in Social Anthropology from the University of Cambridge, and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Political Science from Macalester College. Education was completed at Punahou School.
