Sydney Hushie

Sydney Hushie, LLM, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in innovation, knowledge management, and strategic partnerships within the international development sector. As the Regional Innovation and Knowledge Management Specialist at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) since August 2020, Sydney leads initiatives to advance digital health innovations across 23 countries in East and Southern Africa. Prior roles include serving as a Senior Consultant at the African Development Bank Group, where Sydney designed programs to bolster socially responsible SMEs and facilitated a collaborative ecosystem for innovation in Africa. Additionally, Sydney's experience encompasses leadership roles at the British Council, the Society for AIDS in Africa, and the Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS, showcasing a commitment to fostering partnerships and promoting sustainable development.
