Astrid Ellie Hurley

Astrid Ellie Hurley is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in program management and social affairs within the United Nations, serving in various roles since June 2008. Currently, as a Senior Programme Management Officer in the Office of the Under-Secretary-General of the UN's Department of Economic Affairs, Astrid provides strategic support to senior management and coordinates departmental publications and analytical contributions. Astrid's prior roles include leading outreach initiatives as a Social Affairs Officer and conducting research on social development issues such as poverty and youth engagement. Additionally, Astrid has a background in education, having taught in secondary schools and served as an adjunct lecturer, complemented by advanced degrees in International Relations and Public Administration from Florida International University and The University of Texas at El Paso.
